When you create an account and use StellarScope, we collect: your email address and (if provided) name; your password, stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text; account settings you provide, including city, country, timezone, delivery time preference, subscription plan, and the tracked focus points, voice/tone notes, general instructions, company product/service description, and customer persona text you choose to enter; and each day's generated briefing, stored so you can view it again on your dashboard. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe (our payment processor) handles your payment details directly — we do not see or store your card number.
We use it to: generate and deliver your daily/weekly briefing; run your account (login, plan, billing status); and respond if you contact support. Any free-text fields you provide (voice/tone, general instructions, product description, customer persona) are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) as part of generating your briefing, and are not used to train any AI model.
We share the minimum data necessary with the providers that make the Service work: Anthropic (Claude API — generates briefing content, receives your settings/focus points and the free-text fields above), Resend (sends your account and briefing emails), Stripe (payment processing, paid plans only), and OpenWeatherMap (looks up current weather for your city). The real-world news, market, economic, currency, and public-holiday signals used to ground briefings (via NewsData.io, Alpha Vantage, X/Twitter, FRED, the Bank of Canada, the Reserve Bank of Australia, Nager.Date, and Frankfurter.app) are fetched at a country level, not tied to your individual account — these providers don't receive your personal information. We don't sell your data to anyone.
We keep your account and settings data for as long as your account is active, and your briefing history so you can refer back to past briefings. Country/global-level real-world grounding data is refreshed and overwritten daily — we don't keep a historical archive of it. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact support and we'll process that request.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. You can update most of your own information directly in Settings; for anything else, including account deletion, contact us and we'll action it.
We use a single functional session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service (pages viewed, general location, device type), which sets its own cookies. We don't use advertising cookies or sell any data to advertisers.
StellarScope is a business tool intended for marketing professionals and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
StellarScope is operated from Australia and used by people in multiple countries. By using the Service, you understand your information will be processed in Australia and by the third-party providers listed above, which may be located in other countries.
We use reasonable technical measures (password hashing, encrypted connections, access controls) to protect your information, but no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the Service or by email.
